Choral Speaking

Hmm... Apahal aku tetiba rindu nak choral speaking ohh? :/ Cuti ni dah macam-macam benda aku nak. Nak belajar pun ada, nak pegi jalan-jalan pun ada, sekarang ni nak choral speaking? Adoyai. Mungkin dah banyak kenangan pahit manis yang ditempuhi bersama. Walaupun masa aku join choral speaking ni, tak pernah jadi juara tapi memang best lah. Hehe

First time aku join choral speaking masa aku Form 1. Masa tu budak Form 2 ada masuk kelas kami tanya siapa nak join. Tak tau la kenapa takda orang angkat tangan. Last-last aku sorang jak angkat tangan. Lepas budak Form 2 keluar, kawan semua cakap 'aku nak join jugak lah'. Tadi kenapa tak cakap? =.=' So tak silap aku the next day ada audition, kena tell about ourselves in front of the teachers. One thing lead into another, aku masuklah team choral speaking SMK Wira Penrissen. Sobsob :')

Masa aku Form 1, script dia tajuk 'Peculiar Malaysians'. memang best lah script tu. Very amusing. Competition dekat SMK Balai Ringin, jauh woo. Tapi malangnya kami dapat tempat kedua kalah dengan SMK Muara Tuang :( But at least we got the award for best conductor. Masa tu memang kecewa jiwang karat berkarat-karat lah. Walaupun ada tempat tapi bukan juara. Bak kata pepatah, iPhone 4S dipinta,  iPhone 3GS diterima.

And then Form 2 takda competition. Taktaulah kenapa pulak. No budget kot :| Second competition early this year. Ah, tahun ni interesting sikit. Ada drama gitu. Kamiorang ada 3 minggu jak untuk practice script. Masa hari competition tu, ada sekolah yang SAMA SCRIPT dengan kami! Adoh! Hati memang dah nervous masa tu. Dahla sekolah kami last yang perform. Nanti mesti orang ingat yang kami copy script ni. Actually, kedua-dua sekolah ambik script dari sekolah yang memang terkenal dengan choral speaking-nya. So kami tak menang lah. Tapi, ada tapi jugak. Sekolah kami dapat markah tertinggi untuk performance dan sekali lagi dapat best conductor. eee... bagus jugak conductor sekolah aku tu ya hihi

Beberapa minggu sekepas itu, cikgu panggil group choral speaking ni lagi, tanya nak pegi competition lagi tak, kali ni untuk sambutan hari guru peringkat negeri. At first semua orang was-was nak join, pertandingan 2 minggu  lagi. Last-last join, start everything from scratch, script takda, movements takda. Buat script dah nak 1 minggu lepas  tu tinggal 1 minggu jak nak rehearsal. Then, jeng jeng jeng dapat 2nd place lagi. Ish, tapi masa tu kami takda pun rasa marah atau kecewa sebab kami tau memng boleh tahan orang berlatih 1 minggu dapat second place. Okla tu kan? This year cikgu ada suruh aku buat script untuk tahun depan, tapi sampai sekarang tak siap-siap. Tak tau la nak buat camana, nak buat yang lucu ke atau heart-moving. Esok lah nak mula. Hehe. Wish me luck guys :)

PS1: idk why I'm suddenly writing in BM here. Once in a while I like to stir things up you know, like when you cook, you gotta add a little variety or else no one is gonna eat you food.

Hello peeps! Its been a while since I last posted something on my blog. Sorry for that ^^. Lately I've been 'studying' for the PRA-PMR exams and thank the heavenly heavens I got bolehla results. Plus, I procrastinate a lot so that's why you don't see many blog posts this year. Hihi  #actcute

Well enough of crap and lets get  to the point. Well, I'm sure everyone knows that Ramadan is almost over and Raya is coming soon. I am not a muslim but in the spirit of 1 Malaysia, I am very excited. Actually, I'm more excited because its the holidays. So, Selamat Menyambut Hari Raya Aidilfitri to my muslim friends :) Have a blast!

Happy Fathers Day (More like a post about Genting and Bukit Bintang)

Greetings to you from the lobby of Grand Pacific. Haha. What a weird way to start my post today. Well, today was Fathers Day of course but we didn't celebrate it. My family went to Genting Highlands and lemme tell you, it was awesome! But daddy was not a fan of it though; so today was more like Children's Day. Ngee ><

The cable car was packed with people till we have to wait for about an hour before we could go up. The journey up was amazing too. It was like a journey up into heaven *perasan mau pegi syurga* Genting Skyways cost only RM10 and its much much much safer then using the bus where you gamble your life on the steep slopes.

There, I went to the arcade and played some games. The token there was darn expensive too. RM15 for 15 credits- the nice thing is they give you in the form of cards where you would swipe the cards each time you want to play a game. Each game costs about 4 tokens and my aunt bought 3 cards including RM5 deposit for each card. So...

15x3= RM45
5x3=RM15
45+15= RM60
Rm60 spent on games alone, and i only played two rounds of those racing games and two hits at the "strength-machine-thingymajingo". Like any other large arcades, there are coupons and I only got 13. Haha, only 13. Other people got like thousands and one tiny chinese kid had like a bundle of them. Lord knows how did they got so good at playing games.

The indoor theme park was okay. There were not many rides unlike the outdoor park which we didn't go cause it was very foggy. There are many kiddy rides there and most of them were sloooooow. That's no fun aite? Nevermind, we are planning to to Sunway these few days. So fun rides here we come!

Nightime, we had dinner at Jalan Alor. The food was delicious. So does the price. A plate of wantan mee costs RM5.50! I know some of you Western Sem. readers are like 'ala, mane de. besa la tu. kl' but that aint how we do it in Kuching. In Kota Padawan(batu 10), a plate of wantan is only RM2.80. Nyahh kau. At Bukit Bintang we saw many glitzy malls and street peformers. Too bad we didn't go to Pavilion cause it was too late. Harapharap can go tomorrow. AMEN.

Okie dokie, I guess this is all on my fathers day post. No so father-friendly isn't it? Well, tomorrow I'll be going to KLCC and hopefully Pavilion after daddy's convo. Happy Graduation Daddy!! :D

GaGa: Love or HATE?

Stefani Germanotta, widely known as Lady Gaga is an American singer/songwriter. She released top songs such as Just Dance, Pokerface, Paparazzi, Bad Romance, Born This Way and most recently, The Edge of Glory.

I'm not really a fan of Gaga, nor I'm a hater. For me, Gaga is just another singer, a mere speck of dust in this vast universe, a famous, chart-topping, butt-kicking speck of dust that is. My dad calls her Lady "Gagak", not because he hates her; he just doesn't know gaga has no K at the end. Some people, however go to the extremes like worshiping her and does the gaga pose (god knows how it is) and post them on facebook and stuffs. Worse still, they even change their names to lady gaga or (insert name) germanotta on facebook. Get a life people. You don't see me being Jurleo Bieber or Jurleo Belieber Forever <3 don't you?

Enough with the crap, lets get down to business. Here are reasons why  I love and hate lady Gaga:

Why I love gaga

1. She is unique- she is her very own and no one can tell her 'owh, you look like cher/madonna/britney spears!'

2. She writes killer good songs- Songs like Pokerface and Edge of Glory made me a fan of gaga. Her music is unique and fresh and makes people crank the volume up and just have a good time.

3. She makes britney look like a piece of DooDoo- Move over Britney!

Why I hate her

1. I believe she is antichrist.

2. She wears underwear while performing- I know you are Born This Way but nobody wants to see boobies and butts. (i know who does)

3. She can be very 'unique' at times- meat dress? arriving in an eggshell? Doesn't that scream ATTENTION WHORE to you? And don't get me started on those crazy outfits she puts on.  Alexander mcQueen must be so proud.

4. She changed. A LOT. If she was still the pokerface and just dance Gaga, I would so be Leo Germanotta right now. Lady Gaga changed from being a singer to a eccentrically-dressed singer to a fake-ur-death-onstage singer and lastly to a eggshell dwelling singer. What's next? No one can tell.

5. She calls her fans Little Monsters and she is the Mother Monster- I don't want to be anybody's monster, okay?

6. She's creepy.

Conclusion: I know, I know. Who am I to judge her. I am just a mere speck of dust in the vast universe, a far less famous, less butt-kicking dust. She can do whatever she wants, its her life not mine. But what I do have is the right to voice out my opinion and I'm pretty sure that's not illegal. So gaga, all the best. :)

You must be wondering, "what the heck is this guy watching videos?" First, theres Bon Qui Qui. I know its an old one but its just frikin hilarious man. Bon Qui Qui is a character played by Anjelah Johnson, a comedian who makes large-butt funny jokes and accents. Then, there's searching for covers. Hi guys. Sorry for not updating for like ages. Hehe. Why? Lazyy laa.. Actually, bukan susah nak buat post. But lately I've been so busy with stuffs. Especially school.. >< UGH

The reason why I'm writing you this post is I'm asking all of you (YES, YOU) to pray for Japan. As you all know, last Friday Japan suffered an earthquake and tsunami. Now poor innocent Jap's(?) have no place to stay and no food/water. Now they're at risk of something WORSE.

NUCLEAR RADIATION

Now I'm no nuclear physics professor to know that nuclear radiation aint good for 'ya. The reactors at fukushima plant are dangerously overheating and this causes aint-good-for-human radiation. Now people are franticly trying to pour seawater over the reactors.
So, pray for Japan. If you have some cash, donate. Its a 'perbuatan yang mulia' if you do so. Donate to people who are in need. One day they might do so if we're in need. Help others as they will help you. :)

p/s: im not sure if buying a toyota counts as donating.

That is the description from Wikipedia. Now for some of you who've never heard of Nigahiga, I think you're living under a nutshell. Why? Because his videos are like one of the most viewed videos on Youtube. This guy truly has an amazing amusing talent. He's funny man. Real funny. If you see his videos you'll know what I mean. 

For me, my favorite series will be his Skitzo's. In Skitzo Ryan Higa plays all the characters in the video namely R-Dizzle, Hanate, Regina and Ryan himself.

Why are you talking to yourself?

A few days ago during History class while the teacher was teaching my friend who sat next to me asked
"Why are you talking to yourself?"
"Huh?"
This morning again, during a prize-giving ceremony another dear friend asked
"What are you doing? It seems that you are talking to yourself"
People, NO, I am NOT talking to myself. I not that loco okay. If you've ever seen me in the class or in any boring occasions with my hands over my mouth and talking or something like that, I AM NOT, I repeat I AM NOT talking to myself. HAHA. I'm just sing or humming to myself. Its my defense mechanism against boredom and such. I don't know why but during classes it actually helps me to concentrate better. Now I know some people are asking me questions on how to study and sorts. The truth is, I don't study at all till the last minute. For me, the facts stay fresh in my head if I revise them later.

Okay, back to the singing thing. If I'm bored I sing to myself. Not the American Idol tryouts kind of way, just humming to myself. Maybe the person next to me will hear sounds and ramblings; maybe that's why they keep on asking. I don't really recommend you to do this but if you wanna try out my tips its okay. But do it at your own risk. I don't want anybody blaming me for not paying attention in class. Ya hear that? I don't want to be responsible for anything.

So to the people who ever asked me, now you know why. So stop pestering me with questions and strange looks when I'm in the middle of singing the chorus of "We Wish You A merry Christmas"

Amazing Talents : Mike Tompkins

Know that guy? NO? He's Mike Tompkins. He makes music with his mouth. I mean he makes sounds of instruments with his mouth. For music people, its called acapella. (man why don't I just said that earlier lol). And you know what? He's AWESOME! I use the word 'awesome' a lot these days. This guy is AWESOME! How does he make those sounds I don't know. It sound like the real deal right? I admire his editing works too. I cant imagine sitting the whole day editing videos. But its worth it coz Mike Tompkins is cool and I am not. TeeHee ><

Looks familiar? No, that is NOT Zac Efron. That's Matt Lanter from Disaster Movie. In case you are wondering  where did you saw him before, let me refresh your mind. He's that guy in Disaster Movie, He's Edward Sullen in Vampires Suck and he plays Liam in 90210. Now you know huh? :D

Heard about Glee? Yes? No? If  no, clearly you have been living under a rock or you don't have Star World. If yes, surely you will know Lea Michele. Lea Michele plays Rachel Berry in Glee; a strong character with a powerful voice and a personality to match.

Lea Michele (full name Lea Michele Safarti) is an American actress. Prior to Glee, she starred in Broadway productions such as Les Miserables and Spring Awakening. She was born in The Bronx, NYC.

Lea is only 5'2 but who says short people are not hot? But despite that she has one mighty voice. Trust me, she is one worth listening. But when she sings in Glee, I think she tends to overdo the songs. Check out Glee's new Christmas Album. Google for more info. :)

Hotties 2: Henry Golding

Who is Henry Golding you ask? Henry is a freelance presenter, host and model based in Kuala Lumpur. He used to be a hairstylist in London but decided to move back to Malaysia.

He is half Iban and half British. Yup, you heard it right. I dont know from which part of Sarawak but he has a tattoo on his arm to prove it. Man, I'm so proud of Sarawak right now *grin from ear to ear*. Sarawak can produce nice hotties you know, especially if you throw in some caucasian blood into the mix. Not like Hannah Tan, x ngakuk mak nya org swak. Cis.

Hotties 1: Raina Hein

Who is Raina Hein you ask? Raina is a contestant in Americas Next Top Model Cycle 14. She became the runner-up in the series. She grew up in Minnetonka,Minnesota (god know where that is) and played volleyball during her teenage years.

 The first thing you notice when you see her is her her eyebrows. They  kinda make her like Brooke Shields. At least thats what Tyra said. Hey, everyone is beautiful in their own way you know.During ANTM, she was famous for speaking in her own language. Who could forget 'ohmylanta'? This girl has talent too. She won a few challenges and got best picture quite a number of times. Sadly she ended up in second place because the judges said Krista has more international appeal. =.= But for me Raina does looke like a European.

Since the show, Raina has been finishing school. She’ll soon be graduating with a degree in broadcast journalism. In June of 2010, Raina is going to Dubai to be the Fall 2010 face of Symphony, a Dubai retailer. After seeing Raina on the show, they immediately contacted her through The CW network.

Before the show, Raina was signed with Moore Creative Talent, Ignite Models, Wehman Agency, and Agency Models and Talent. She is still on the boards at Ignite Models.
